When did this happen? Perhaps I’ve been living under a rock, but last time I checked Dropbox, Google Drive and OneDrive all offered the 1TB tier for $10 a month. Today, however, I saw a new 1TB plan:
I mean I know there’s been a personal Office 365 plan for a while, but I was never offered a corresponding, cheaper OneDrive plan. Anyway, it’s 7 bucks a month, but if you pay for 1 year upfront you get 2 months off the price. I think $5 would be the perfect spot, but hey, this is already getting quite decent. MS, you finally made me move my crap off the company subscription.
Update: there’s an even better deal. You can do it the other way around, i.e. purchase Office 365 Personal for $60 a year and get the 1TB OneDrive plan with it. What’s the point of selling the SAME thing for different prices – I have no idea, but that’s the way it is. This boils down to a $5/month price for 1TB, which is exactly the half of what Dropbox and Google Drive offers. Pretty good.Tags: cloud storage, dropbox, google drive, microsft, onedrive
